“The Acupuncture Evidence Project” è una revisione comparativa della Letteratura a cura dei Dr. John McDonald e Stephen Janz commissionata dalla Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association. Lo studio riassume le attuali evidenze scientifiche disponibili a sostegno dell’efficacia dell’Agopuntura e della sua validità in termini di costi. Si basa sulle solide fondamenta di una grande mole di prove scientifiche e fornisce al pubblico in generale, nonché, ovviamente, alla comunità scientifica, maggiore chiarezza sui benefici dell’Agopuntura. Il progetto, aggiornato al Novembre 2017, conclude:
“Non è più possibile affermare che l’efficacia dell’Agopuntura sia dovuta all’effetto placebo o che sia utile solo per il dolore muscolo-scheletrico”
